Question Merge or copy info from one column to another

    Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to solve a problem which I thought would be easy peasy lemon squeezy, but it turns out it's difficult difficult lemon difficult Anyway, I have a list of around 200 names with first names in column A and surnames in column B. I would like both first and surnames in the same column, but if I copy and paste surnames, I overwrite first names and vice versa. Is there any way to combine these two pieces of information into one column? TIA Intraviolet B

Use the concat function in a third column!

Thank you maniacb, this looks like what I'm trying to do! I just can't work out how to instruct excel to do it for the entire column at once. I don't want to have to go through A3&""&B3 then A4&""B4 etc. Is there a way to do it all in one command?

The formula for C2 could also be

    =concat(A2,” “,B2)

And you double click on the right hand bottom corner of the cell and all the column should populate.
