Recipes allergens autofill for a kitchen

    Hello everyone.
I惴 in a project where i need that the ingredients of a shopping list that have an allergen list can reflect them on the sub recipes and then in the recipes. I mark the allergen with a letter X

Then it should fill the space where the allergen is found:

And it should do the same in the final recipe:

I am not an advanced excel user.
So to resume my idea, i need that when an allergen is found with a letter X it passes it to the sub recipe using the name of the ingredient and then i can use the same formula to pass it to the main recipe.
I hope i was clear with my explanation and thank you very much!

Re: Recipes allergens autofill for a kitchen

I惴 getting close to a solution by combining the VLOOKUP and the HLOOKUP by using this formula:
    =VLOOKUP(A7,A5:D8,HLOOKUP(I16,B5:D6,2,FALSE),FALSE)
But the first side of the formula is not searching for the rest of the column below A7, i need to extend the search area:
    Is it even possible?
    Thanks in advance!

I looked at your file and need an explanation of how it works. You have three sheets with recipes (SAUCES, PRODUCTION, DISHES). What are the sub-recipes, recipes, and final recipes you are talking about in your first post?

In your sample picture, what is the relationship between the recipe for ali隳 di lim鏮 and teque隳s? What data links them together?

In your second post, where are you putting this formula?

(You have a GENERAL INVENTORY sheet but no formulas seem to refer to this, and it has many empty rows. I would think that you would want to have no empty rows and then use this list to choose ingredients in the recipes.)
