Keep data in rows locked together

I have a member names list in a worksheet named Master, and I have created a named range which links to a second worksheet "Attendance" which is used to record member attendances. When a new member joins and his name is entered and sorted in Master it automatically shows this in "Attendance" however the attendance records in "Attendance" don't remain linked to the correct member with the new name introduced, and remain in the row and not move with the member.
Is their any way to lock the attendances rows to the member names?

    Hi there.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.

    Thanks for advice on posting.
In the attached example if I add the name Ball Bill into the Master tab, then sort alphabetically via LastName the new name appears as it should in the Attendance tab.
However the record of attendances does not stay with the original attendee below where the new name comes in. The names move down below the new member but the "Y" data remains.

Like throwing an unattached anchor into the water the Y's in column C are stationary in the row into which they are put while the names float around based on the sorting of the Master sheet data.
My suggestion is to make an Excel Table as modeled on Sheet1. When a new row is inserted or a new name is added at the bottom (go to cell D20 and press the Tab key to start a new record) and then the table is custom sorted by last name and then first name, the Y's stay attached to the names.
