Can a cell be (Conditionally) formatted to change from "YES" to show a "check mark" or "No" to show a "X"? If so how can I do that?

    Hi,

    You can

select your cell with the word YES
Richtclick and go to Format cells
Number tab look for custom (bottomleft)

in the type: inputbox type: ';;;ü' no quotes
now change the font to wingdings

it should show as a checkmark

    the x = ';;;û'
Please be as complete as possible in your asking so it may save use all the time to rework the solution because you didn't give all the requirements. If you have a layout in mind please work it out first so we can adapt our solution to it. Thanks.

    Thank you for your reply.
The above does work, but I was hoping to be able to create the cells to automatically change the "YES" to a "check mark" and "NO" to a "x", so the user doesn't see "characters" when typing. I was hoping to be able to apply Conditional Formatting to the cells. I hope this makes sense.
