Conditional Formatting based on years and months

Hi

Does anyone know how to use conditional formatting on a cell that is already formatted as years and months?

I want to highlight cells green if the value is less than 5 years, yellow if between 5 and 9, and red if the value is greater than 10 years. I've tried to do this but it doesn't seem to work with the years and months format.

I've attached a sample sheet where column C is where I want to apply the formatting.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Your formula uses ampersand ( & ) to concatenate numeric years and months with text values ... hence the output of the formula is text. Therefore you won't be able to use CF if it is meant to be based on a numeric value.
