    Enter function

    Hey,

I'm looking for a way to define the enter function,

I have made a scoreboard but am looking for a way to determine position after the enter.
If I enter a number in C4, the cursor has to go to D4 then E4. Now I read that the enter left right can be controlled via the setting and I succeeded. But now I would like after F4 after pressing enter the cursor to enter goes to C5

    How do I do that?

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

I turned the scoreboard into a structured table and it seems to work as you wish it to.

    Hi,
    Try this

    Option 1:
Use default settings of enter key.
Use Tab Key to move right and then use enter.

    It will be like C4 -(Tab) - D4 -(Tab) - E4 -(Tab) - F4 -(Enter) -C5 ...

    Option 2:
Select All working cells (C4:F28), then use tab key to move right and automatically it'll go to next row.

Neither of those is what the OP wants, so they are merely workarounds.

I'm not sure why you'd offer workarounds when a fully-fledged solution has already been offered - perhaps you didn't look at it?

    Yes, of course.

    1. Select cells C3 to F28 so that they are highlighted.
    2. Go to the Insert ribbon and click the Table icon - tick My table has headers - done.
    3. Go to the Table Design ribbon and, in the Table Styles selection box, scroll up and choose the very first (top left) style for no formatting. This maintains the look of your table as you designed it.
