How to Automatically Fill in a Field in One Spreadsheet Based Another?

I have the attached workbook (spreadsheet.xlsx) with 2 spreadsheets

The first sheet (called "Sheet1") has a column for ID, last name, first name, etc. The ID is blank and I want to populate them based on the last name and first name fields in column B and C.

The second sheet (Called "Sheet2") has the IDs for each person. What formula will allow me to pull the IDs from "Sheet2" and populate it in the corresponding ID field in Sheet1?

For example, I want all instances of Brock, Eddie in "Sheet1" to have the "ID" 2 since that is the corresponding ID in "Sheet2".

The file you have uploaded has a format newer than the Excel 2003 your profile indicates. Please update your profile so we can know which of the newer functions/features you actually have available.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am using Excel 2013 and have updated my profile to reflect that.

Array enter this formula in A2 and fill down.

If you aren’t familiar with array-entered formulas array enter means the formula must be committed from edit mode by simultaneously pressing and holding down Ctrl and Shift while hitting Enter.

Two alternatives to my formula in post #4 above that do not have to be array entered.
