    Lookup a value

    Hi all

I am trying to use the Lookup function for locating a specified value in a list, however, not all the values are a single number. So the list may contain 1,2,3 (as single entries) then 4-7 (as the next entry) etc, trying to locate value 1 is easy but if i try and Lookup the value 5 the result is not found correctly. There are 4096 numbers in total so i would rather not have to go through the whole list and separate the grouped numbers.
Any ideas would be of great help

    Many thanks in advance

It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook, as detailed in the yellow banner at the top of the screen.
