Cell not aligning after strange refresh, perhaps incorrect button combination

I have an issue with a cell not aligning centre. I was working on a company sheet (can't share). I pressed a button combination (I was trying ALT H M C to merge centre), but the whole sheet underwent a strange refresh, perhaps i entered an incorrect button combination. Now, the align is stuck to the left, and not aligning centre.

I've attached screenshots and sheet, not the full sheet as it has private company details.

The cells in that column are formatted as bottom left with text wrap.

You could just select the column and set the format as required.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Apologies! I uploaded an incorrect file version, and removed.

The correct is attached, column E is the issue. I tried selecting column and setting format but it is not working.

I tried selecting column and setting format but it is not working.
What does not working mean? Selecting the column and removing the left alignment makes the numeric values right aligned. The mixed alphanumeric values remain left aligned, as you would expect.
