Nominal codes look-up?

Hi - I'm trying to create some double-entry accounts in Excel using separate tabs within one Excel file to represent the individual accounting ledgers. I want to code a 'launch pad' of primary information (I'm calling this the 'Transactions Tab' or 'TT') so that the individual debit & credit ledgers can look up the nominal code value &, if present, put that information into the ledger. For example, the TT could contain on Row1: 10th May (cell A1) My Bank (cell A2) Bank charges (cell A3) £10 (cell A4) 100 (cell A5). Cell A5 being the nominal code for bank charges in this example. Within the bank charges ledger I want to be able to enter formulae that effectively says, 'look at the TT & scan column 5; if column 5 contains '100' then present in A1,2,3,4 of the bank charges ledger the data on the TT corresponding to that code 100. Rather than a description a workbook would be more useful - as I am too lazy to create worksheets that look nothing like your anticipated request.

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Hi - many thanks for the prompt reply. I think I've attached the file ~ called 'Example'. In the 'after' tab I have just accessed the TT information using a relative cell reference for now. Cheers, Philip

Give the attached a trial - there are no on-sheet formula to maintain or expand.
The main criteria:
1) The worksheet tab naming must have a number between 100 to 999 to start followed by description of your choice.
2) On each sheet there is a table - all layout formats must be identical - the table name must be of the format "tbl_xxx" (matching nominal code number).
3) The "tblNOMINAL" Item appears on the form and in the records as default.
the code should accomodate the addition of sheets, tables and addition of nominal codes providing the criteria are followed.
