Automatic count of content in merged cells

Hi Everyone!

In the file I've attached I have two sheets.. the first shows a week's worth of meetings, listing the type of meeting and when it takes place on a specific day. What I'm trying to achieve is an automatic count (in the Analysis sheet) of these meetings each day. The first sheet uses merged cells.

Can anyone please help with how to achieve this best?

Many thanks KOKOSEK. Unfortunately with that formula I'm getting an Invalid Name error on those cells. I'm using Excel 2007.

Try to accept formula with Ctrl+Shift+Enter not just Enter.
