Hi, strange question, I want to ask about adding numbers....
I've attached the images of graphs for visual aid. I'm trying to figure out a way to do what I've done n the photo. So as you can see, there are two graphs, both have a 'best fit' line that shows a 20% increase. Graph 2 looks like a walk through the park with n up/down total of 6. Graph 1 look like something that would make Tolkien proud, has gone on a big adventure and gathered an up/down total of 42. So were, weather its positive or negative, all movement is calculated as a positive integer.
I've a spreadsheet attached (its what I took the spreadsheet image from) and its a simple list of numbers (as seen below).
Does anyone know how I can get my up/down total from a list like this?
I can figure out a work-around using a few different steps but the best I can come up with is something very convoluted. I'll be doing this with 4 lists, each with 60 entries each constantly fluctuating every minute. (I'm calculating real-time data) so the less steps the better.
Any advice is well appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!
