Format cell - Center Across Selection

Is there an alternative to formatting as "Center Across Selection", instead to "Left Across Selection".
    To avoid merging cells.

In your example, as long as B2, C2 and D2 are empty then you will achieve the effect that you want as the data in A2 will flow across the next columns.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for advising.
The cells B2, C2 and D2 are empty but so is E2-G2. The format is applied across the green highlight.
But it may be that there is no such format as "Left Across Selection".

That's right, there isn't, but text will flow into and across adjacent columns if they are empty. If the text was longer than the width of your selected columns then it would still flow across.

    OK thanks for confirming.
I should have mentioned it was for cells with numbers, as text has no issue with left align and flowing into next cells.
    Cheers.
