Request help on formualae to know number of Fridays in present year please, in excel 2007
Your profile says Excel 2010 - are you saying this needs to work in the EARLIER 2007 version?

Not sure if this will work for you:
=NETWORKDAYS.INTL(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),1,1),DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),12,31),"1111011")
your problem needs more info. But you can get the day of the week (Friday) with '=Weekday(A1)' formula. if it = 6 that is a friday! Then I would use Weeknum formula for the Begin and End dates, you probably want to make sure they are FRIDAYs! That should give you some ideas. Good luck

I thought it was quite clear: I think the OP wants to know the number of Fridays in the current year, which my formula does, although I am not sure if it will work in Excel 2007.
I thought it may be used for future years too. I listed all the fridays starting with 1/1/21 (using =weekdays & made sure it equaled 6, Then added 7 days to 1/1 till 12/31(which is a fri). added them up and got 53). I believe mine works as well!
