The name \a already exists - Copying tabs in excel sheet

    Hello,

I am trying to copy tabs in my worksheet and this error comes up when making a copy to only some sheets not all and it says, The name /a already exists. Click yes to use that version of the name, or click no to rename the version of /a you're moving or copying. When i choose no it just goes down the list of alphabet and continously has other names already "exists". Also it locks excel and makes me force close through the task manager because i can not get out of that error message. Any ideas? I have tried to delete all entries in name manager and it still gives me this error after deleting the entries and nothing shows in the Name manager.

    Thanks,

I'm assuming there are hidden names in your workbook...usually deposited by other programs that download to Excel (reports, etc)
Copy the below code and paste it into a VBA code module, then:
    - Go to your problem workbook
    - Press: Alt+F8
    - Select: MakeAllRangeNamesVisible
    - Click: Run

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Now open the Name Manager...Do you see more range names?
