    Create Excel File from Lotus

    Hi Everyone,

I Have 2 Lotus 123 Files That I Use To Create a 4custa.prn file that gets used by another program to send prices to scales?

Is There Any Way To Convert These Files To Excel And Keep The Functions the same?

    Hope Someone can Help Me

    Thank You

Search Google for: create excel file from lotus 123

    One example page: https://www.tech-faq.com/convert-lot...-to-excel.html

Note that, if the file has a .123 file extension, you need to rename it with a .wk4 extension.

    Hi Trevor,

I Tried That but it removes all macros etc from the file so I have arrived at a bit of a dead end.

Re: Create Excel File from Lotus

    Hi Again Trevor,

I Have The File Open In Excel Now But No Formulas Etc Will Have To Do Everything From Scratch.

I Have A Product Code, Description, Price and Department That All Need To Have A Specific String Of Characters Added otherwise the Diginet Software Won't Accept It.

Re: Create Excel File from Lotus

OK, good news and bad news. The good news is that the .123 files WILL open in LibreOffice (which I had forgotten I had installed ). From there, you can save the file as an .xls, .xlsx or .xlsm file. The bad news is that I can't see any macros ... but I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing.

There ARE formulae, which include functions, which neither LibreOffice nor Excel can cope with. That said, if you know what they are meant to do, you can probably re-write them as Excel formulae.

    For example:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

You can download LibreOffice for free. If it would help, I can upload the converted files.
