Duplicate Deletion

Hi there,

I am looking for a way to delete not only the duplicate but the original itself.

I have two lists of names, I am looking for the people who are on one list but not on the other.

I tried to do a filter and I tried to remove duplicate but clearly that did nothing.

I am clearly tired and have tried multiple different ways to google this problem and nothing seems to come up other than the info to remove duplicates.

Depends if there is other data associated with the two lists.

Assuming it is two simple lists, I would copy the first list to a new sheet in column A. Then copy the second list to the new sheet, in column A, under the first list. Then add a helper column, in column B. In the helper column, in cell B2, use the formula =COUNTIF(A:A, A2) and copy it to the end of the combined list. Now filter the helper column for >1. Select the visible rows and delete them using the icon on the Home ribbon. Clear the filter. Done.
