Ignore Columns that do not meet criteria

    Greetings!

I have details on individual vendors that run up and down a column. Each vendor has their own column.

I want to extract only columns/vendors that performed work in a given month (criteria).

Of course I could just delete unwanted columns but this can get cumbersome since I receive a new list every month with hundreds of columns/vendors.

Is there a Vlookup or match function that can pull only columns that I need?

In the attachment I want only vendors that performed work in May.

using O365 you can perhaps use FILTER, e.g.:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

The filter formula works splendidly XLent.

I was wondering if it can be used in a dynamic table. I have updated the worksheet to so show what I need.

Basically I am pulling data via power query into B1. The blue shaded area is where additional columns can be added via refresh the query. When I use your filter function it does not work.

formula wise, you could try something like:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

immediately after pasting the above do CTRL + Z, then recalculate (this will prevent the new formula being appended into Table1)
Of course, it might be simpler to use PQ to generate this 2nd output...
