i've been trying to figure out if this is possible: Say I've got a long list, sorted alphabetically by sort. All entries of equal length and structure in one column. Is it possible to have excel mark every letter that is different from the cell above. Example:
A4:=360.020-SK5H2306B
A5:=360.011-SK5H2306A
A6:=360.011-SQ4G2101A
A7:=360.011-SQ4G2102A
If it is at all possible, then how?
No - not with Excel functions. It may be possible with VBA - shall I move the thread for you?
