    Title the bottom of graph

Hi, I'm trying to track wait times at a fast food restaurant
Every 1/2 hour we time how long it takes between serving a customer and them receiving the product.

How can I make the graph show 10:00 , 10:30, 11:00 at the bottom instead of 11:11:34 etc

I want the time static at the bottom and the dot of the graph to appear at the time.... eg 11:11 would appear just after the 11:00 marker on the graph

Please feel free to offer any feedback you can to this spreadsheet to simplify it .

Many thanks in advance for your time and help

I would guess you'd have to put a heading on column B and graph against that instead of the service time.

I think you add a column to your table, insert a row to the left (so first entry time is now b3)
    =MROUND(B3,1/48)

to round the time of your observations to the nearest half hour (48 half hours in a day)

this works for excel 2007 onwards. You list 2003 but this can not be true if the sample is in xlsx format. Update your profile as Ali suggests

Re: Title the bottom of graph

I notice that you are using a line chart for this. I would have used an XY scatter chart. Then you will need to format the horizontal axis to use appropriate values for the max, min, major, and minor units. In LO Calc, it was easy to enter these values into the format axis fields, because LO Calc can receive "time" values in these format axis fields. In Excel, you will need to come up with the fraction of a day equivalents on your own to enter into these format axis fields (for example, 10:00 would be 0.416666666... for the axis minimum, 17:00 would be .708333333333 for the axis maximum, 1:00 would be 0.04166666666... for the major unit).

If it helps, this is a decent explanation of the differences between line and scatter charts: https://peltiertech.com/line-charts-vs-xy-charts/
