    Sumifs with OR logic

Hi all, how do I use SUMIFS with a OR logic as one criteria ?

I have seen several examples using a formula, however I would like to use the standard wizard.

    Regards

Thank you, but I would like to use the wizard and not a formula.

Sorry - what do you mean by 'wizard'?

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

I mean the dialogue box as apposed to a formula. Please see attached picture. What do I enter in the circled box if I want the criteria range value > 4 or <= 7?

    Re: Sumifs with OR logic

You're attachment is coming up as invalid, but using or for >4 or <=7 makes no sense as everything will be counted. Are you sure that you don't mean >4 AND <=7

    Re: Sumifs with OR logic

You need a criterion for the lower range limit and a criterion for the upper range limit, then your other criterion, so three criteria in total.

    Look here: https://exceljet.net/formula/sum-if-between

    Re: Sumifs with OR logic

    Thank you AliGW

Yes you are right I have to set two separate limits (one for the < and one for the >=). I am sure I did it once with a single criterion, however I cannot remember how. If I do I'll post it.

Regards and thank you once again.
