    Copying Columns & Conditional Formatting

    Hi there,

I have created a table that includes some conditional formatting. Some of the formulas lock the collum ($B) so that all collumns in that table are effected.

However, I would like to be able to copy the tables (all it's collumns) and the respective conditional formats. If my CF are locked to collumn B in the first table, I would like the copied table to be fixed to collumn F, and so on and so on.

I appreciate that I have $locked$ them but wonder if I can duplicate the selected collumns and move the conditional formatting with it.

If you see cell C11, for example, you will see the 3 formulas in CF. In G11, they are still locked to $B, whereas I want $F.

    Thanks in advance,

    Danny

Hi. I had a look at your file and the only formulas I found where in cells D5 and H5. it appears that you typed everything else in.

The closest thing that I can think of to what you want is to apply formatting to one column at a time in your first table.
If you do that then you can remove the column locks and use the format painter to paint the conditional formatting rules from one table to another.
In the attached copy of the file I erased the four CF rules that pertained to columns F:H
I then unlocked the column references and put rules that applied to only one column at a time.
I then selected B8:D28 > selected the format painter and "painted" cells F8:H28
As you will see I apparently missed some of the formatting for columns C:D
