Fuzzy lookup of employee names between two lists

    Hello community!

I am stuck on creating a formula that looks into two columns of names and assigns a given employee number to that name. Our production database has variances in spelling for employee names compared to our payroll and I need a formula to spit out their employee number in column "J".

    The excel file is attached

    I would appreciate the help!

    Thank you!

Have you tested the Excel add-in "Fuzzy Logic" made made by Microsoft? This YouTube link shows downloading and how to set it up.
