Conditional formatting to highlight specific row doesnt work

    Hi ,

I am a newbie to xls and i am using office 365. I want to highlight the entire row if a specific column cell value is "Y". I tried conditional formatting but it highlights all rows. Can anyone help me?

The proper result: only rows 5 and 8 should be highlighted.

    Welcome to the forum.

    Change the rule to this:

    =$B5="Y"
