SOLVED: Generating a PDF Introduced Artifacts in Certain Charts

Hello - I am using a reasonably large dataset that needs to have the data separated out on a site specific basis, so that I can create a standardized report to be distributed to their respective sites.

The data part is no problem, and I have all the charts, tables, etc, working fine.

However, when I attempt to export the file into a PDF, this happens

I looked around to see if there was anything on formatting, and have played with print tiles, and the like, but it always shows up.

The chart itself is a clustered bar which draws data from some dynamic fields (hence the variable colours), but otherwise isn't that abnormal.

I tried recreating it in a new excel file with just the values (so not references) and without some of the formatting, it looks like it works fine.

Some google/image searching has proved fruitless, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

Looks like a problem with pdf filter. These concentric circles in different locations, like some misinterpretation of a part of graphics.
Of course if we don't have the excel file it's not easy to re-create such problem.

You are probably using just "Save As" and select .pdf type.
So - may be not a solution but workaround - have you tried to Print to pdf ? Either with Microsoft PDF printer or may be some other supplier, like https://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php - I'm using this software because it has some options microsoft is missing (like appending to existing documents) - and it's freeware for home and commercial (up to 10 users) use.

Or you can share with us (see yellow banner near the top) problematic file (of course cleaned from confidential data, and rechecked if after cleaning sympthom persist).
    Best Regards,

    Kaper

    Thank you for the response!

I have tried Print to PDF, as well as Export to PDF/XMS, both have the exact same problem.

And unfortunately, I can't download that software as this is a work computer, so would require IT approval (and since its a big company, usually they aren't approved).

I might be able to try sharing the document - its tricky because it does have patient data in it, so I would have to carefully clean it, but its also >20megs, is that size ok?

Edit: So I kept troubleshooting today, and was able to "fix" the problem by just deleting the chart, and remaking it from scratch. I have no idea why that worked, but since I am in the clear, I'll mark the topic as solved. Thanks!
