    logistic regression

    Hello all,

I have a quick question regarding the logistic regression outputs.

Does the logistic regression automatically standardize my numeric observations, or would I have to firstly change my data using the STANDARDIZE function, and then produce the logistic regression?

    Thanks,

    Wadi Luca Watfa

    Welcome to the forum.

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version of Office (Excel) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this. Thanks.

    Maybe this will help. https://www.statology.org/logistic-regression-excel/

As we don't know what your data looks like it's unlikely anyone can guess what you need to do to it.

    Re: logistic regression

    Thanks for the link,

I have not standardized any of my data. The variables all have different measures, such as income vs weight.

Do you happen to know is the excel logistic regression analysis from Real Statistics add on automatically standardizes the x variables coefficients? or does that require observations that are standardized prior to the analysis?

    Thanks.

    Not a clue I’m afraid.

I'll see if I can get help from elsewhere.

I'm not sure if any of us on here are familiar enough with the Real-Statistics addon to answer the questions. Have you read through the documentation: (landing page for the logistic regression section, it's 14 pages, so I didn't read through it, but you would probably understand it better anyway:https://www.real-statistics.com/logistic-regression/ ). He seems to still be active on the site (a blog entry from earlier this month), I would probably suggest you ask the programmer this question. He seems fairly responsive to comments left on those pages, so perhaps just a comment on an appropriate page from the Logistic regression section would generate a quick and reliable answer.
