SOLVED Hyperlink to page in pdf document

    Hi,

Is there a way to put a hyperlink in excel that goes to a specific page in a pdf document? I've been searching around the internet and no one really seems to have any good answer for this...

Adobe says that you can append

    #page=n

to a URL and Acrobat will open to that page number. However, Acrobat is not my default PDF reader so I can't test it.

SOLVED Re: Hyperlink to page in pdf document

Thanks, this worked! For all looking for more details on how to do this:

First I needed to create a link to open my pdf doc in a web browser because currently adobe only supports linking to a specific page if it is in the browser and not the adobe desktop app.

    1. On the top right of your pdf in the adobe acrobat desktop app there is a paperclip icon. Click this to get a shareable link for your pdf. This link will open the pdf in adobe acrobat online

    2. In excel, right click on the cell you would like to link and click link

    3. Paste the link that adobe generated into the address window and add “#page=n” to the end of the link. N should be the page number you want to link it to. So for example if adobe generated the link xxx.xxx.pdf
then you would add #page=6 to link it to page 6 in your doc. The new link would look like - xxx.xxx.pdf#page=6
    4. Click ok
    5. Now when you click on the cell in your excel workbook it should bring you to that page in your pdf
