Combine signed numbers values with number (separated with comlun)

An column with signs and next to it in a rown the number (values).An 3th column neccessary, within meged number sign with values. Tryed:=D1&E1 it is not good, becouse to use them i need an help column to convert to number form: I1=K1*1

What you have seems to work just fine, but, if you want a different approach (not sure it is better) how about =IF(A1="-",-1,1)*B1 or similar.
