You can do this under Options
Google 'Excel show hide scrollbars' and you'll get all the information you need

Not the excel scroll bar, the embedded one which is in the template - eather remove it or expand the view as it only scrolls to cell BM

    You can just delete it.
Select it and right click Cut
But why, it helps scroll the gantt chart.

Re: Remove or extend the macro scoll bar for fuller view!

Sorry I'm not explaining myself properly, what I want to do is to expand the view so I can see more of the gantt chart - at the moment it only shows to row BM - however as the timelines are longer and I want to show the whole end to end time lines on a presentation, then I would like to zoom in and out to present, rather than scrolling accorss.

So is there a way to expand the view more than cell BM, or is there away to not have the scroller so then it shows everything?

    Apologies for confusion

    Just copy and paste.

I'm sure you can manage from here.

I think you are confusing common sense with a basic understanding of how Excel works. For someone to have the latter, they need to learn. Learning comes from being appropriately guided, so let's hope that the OP understands what you have done in the attachment. If they don't, then be prepared to explain it to them in specific detail.

It really has nothing to do with imagination. Please remember that what those of us who've been using Excel for years take for granted may be a complete mystery to novices.

Okay, reading the way the question was posted and it's content and first answer I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that the OP has more than average knowledge of Excel.

It's quite a complex template - beginners often start with templates that are fine until they decide they want to change them!

I just copied the columns to the right the number of columns required as well as the scroll bar, just click it and expand it.
There is no technique in there, just look at the formulas, I do not know another way to explain it.

Re: Remove or extend the macro scoll bar for fuller view!

Not helpful. All this accomplished was to make the scroll bar wider... This did not in any way enable the view of the full timeline.

OP was pretty clear and this is the same issue I am having. The need is to display all cells for the entirety of the project timeframe without the need to scroll. Ex: I would like the months of April-July to be displayed. I don't want any other month to exist and I want to be able to see the full timeline of April-July at once with no scrolling needed. How can this be accomplished?
