Multiply one number by lookup result

    Hi,

I have some surcharges for clients on one sheet and I need to multiply the net total price by this surcharge percentage.

I'm trying to get the formula in the cell (without retrieving the percentage in another column first)

I just need the lookup to search via cons. code and retrieve the percentage and multiply, if there isn't a code/ percentage it will just be blank; this is why I switched from a vlookup to an IF.

But the problem I found is that the formula only worked for my example range, of 10 clients, after this the formula isn't able to work (as the reference table only has the 10 clients going down to row 11.

I hope this makes sense! I have attached a small sample file, any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Administrative Note:

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version (NOT release number) of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this. Thanks.

    Try this:

    =IFNA(VLOOKUP(A2,Prices!$A$2:$B$10,2,0)*V2,"")
