Hi I wonder of anyone with HTML, Javascript, Ajax and PHP knowledge can help me ?
Using Excel and two sheet lookup with dummy data, to create the dropdown select functions; Then converted this into HTML using an Excel plugin. My demo example is a single page e-comm gateway (see attached) although this isn't about about creating an e-comm site, but more getting statistics in drop down form and seeing how choice changes outcome
The HTML is page is an over heavy end product as result of an Excel to HTML converter - Just about everything and it's kitchen sink is included. This said -
I finally worked out how and added some Javascript that links to the HTML created and so can retrieve what variable information created by Excel that would be required, using <div IDs="#variables">. My limited understanding is these, is they are a way of showing values, but not passing them forward to PHP
So now I need help by anyone familiar with HTML, Java to link too PHP. Those PHP variables become portable so that they can then be used within a web site as a single page cut and past' (if possible even if clumsy) and connectable to a website in development - The idea being another Excel sheet to be converted (also placed here) will hopefully be converted and lessons learned here can be used to create an online real time display and local to any event as a track lay out Loco online
The HTML file is the product of Excel 2003 because the end users are steam enthusiasts looking to place online a members data sheet and only have a basic PC with this installed, and they have no database function on their budget web host service
