Picture as Footer in Excel

Hi, because the footer can't be more than 256 characters, I have to insert a picture.
Question: Is the picture stored in the Excel file? So if I email the file to someone, will they have the footer available?

Good question ... yes, it should be available.

I've just created a footer with a picture. Saved & closed the workbook. Deleted the picture and reopened the workbook. Picture shows in the footer.

Footnote. Renamed the test workbook as a .ZIP file, then opened the zip and the image is stored in the XL\Media folder. So, if you ever lose your image you can recover it by copying it out of an existing file...

The first line should read as 'Yes, it IS available'

I tried to add an EMF file (vector format) but got an error: An error occurred while importing this file.
