I have be searching the internet for a solution to my issue and haven't been able to find anything, until if found this forum. I hope you can help please.
I do a lot of family research on the net. I have stored information that I find on Excel, but would like to copy and paste info and then transpose it across the sheet. I found a lady on YouTube who gives tutorials on different family history websites, especially Ancestry.
The lady explains how she copies and pastes into Special/Text and all of her info just falls into place with headings and the names, places etc. When I do it, all the data goes into one column. I have searched on how to transpose this column but cant find anything that works as easily as the lady on YouTube does, and mine never works and just becomes a jumbled mess.
I even went to the same document the lady went to on Ancestry and followed her step by step, but my Excel still wouldn't do what hers does. Is there something in the Settings that may be different?
I would love to be able to do this, as it would assist greatly with my research. I tried to add the YouTube link here, but can't as I am a new member.
