IDs separation in different column ending with "/"

    Dear Experts,

Is it possible to separate below IDs in P column ending with "/" or "," in individual column say Q,R,S,T,U,V either through excel formula or VBA code ? There are several entries in column P.

    Column P
    Row 1 000396732514/0004127444/0004127488/0004127499/0004127501/0004127515
    Row 2 000396732514/0004127444/0004127488/

    Result
    Column Q Column R Column S Column T Column U Column V
    Row 1 000396732514 0004127444 0004127488 0004127499 0004127501 0004127515
    Row 2 000396732514 0004127444 0004127488

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

Try Data - Text to columns - use / as delimiter

    Text To Columns

    Go to your data tab

    Highlight the Column P

    Hit Text To Columns

    Choose Delimited

Choose OTHER in the check box options and enter the delimiter... in your case a forward slash /

it will split all of the IDS into their own column where it finds the delimiter you dictate.

NOTE - You should not have anything to the right of the column or range you apply the text to column as it will OVERWRITE anything that is in the adjacent cell(s) ... how many depends on the value that is being parsed
