Using the IF and MATCH functions together

Why is this formula not working? -
=IF(MATCH(A2,'3 2001-2005'!$A$2:$A$201,0),3)
I am hoping to create a formula that returns a 3 if the name in cell A2 matches one of the names in the previous sheet (3 2001-2005), but at the moment it isn't working. Is the match function the wrong one in this context? This is part of a longer formula, so let me know if it is all needed to work out the problem.
