    Auto Propagation

I've created a fax sheet which contains a drop down list of companies we fax to. The drop down list is contained within a column on another work sheet within the workbook. Next to the column of company names is another column containing their associated fax numbers. How can I select a company from the drop down list in one cell and automatically have the company’s fax number propagate to a separate cell on the same worksheet?

See the Excel Help on the use VLOOKUP function.

If Sheets A1:B10 hold the data, where column-A is Company Name and column-B is the fax number, then:

    =VLOOKUP(Sheet2!A1:B10,2,FALSE)
    Palmetto

    Do you know . . . ?
