Showing Occupancy & Cleaning Rotas using Dates Formula

    Hello,

I have a list of arrival and departure dates for all the guests staying at a property

I would like to show in one column all of the days that are every 3rd day from the arrival, and a second list for every 7th day from the arrival. All the way until the the departure day

The first column I’d be able to sort by todays date to find out which rooms need regular cleaning today, the second for linen changes.

For example if a reservation was

    Cell A1:06/01/2022 Cell B1: 06/14/2022 then

    Cell C1: =A1+3= 06/04/2022
    Cell D1 =B1+7= 06/08/2022

Then if today was was June 8th, I would sort the column to show June 8th to see a list of the reservations due for linen change today.

However, most reservations are 6 months+ in length and I cant do a new column for every increment of 3 & 7. It's too much work.

Dorm Room Check-In Date Expected Departure Date Shift
    A 5 5/25/2022 6/20/2022 Day
    C 15 6/2/2022 12/24/2022 Nights
    C 14 6/1/2022 12/31/2022 Day

    Thank you!

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version (NOT release number) of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this. Thanks.

    Administrative Note:

We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.

Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. As you are new here, I have done it for you this time.)

    Thanks.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.
