Hi All! I have a table that will be going out to colleagues to complete. Unfortunately the table has a lot of columns and staff get confused. So in the top row I have put an example. The totals always include the example row or a sort of any column moves the example row away from the top. Is there anyway to get excel to completely ignore the top row? Example attached

=SUBTOTAL(109,[Value])-C$2

That doesn't work as when I sort any column the value changes as the example line isn't staying at the top. I need it to stay at the top whether I sort any column A-Z AND sum total not to include the line
My suggestion may be too simplistic; however, could you put the Example row above the table which would allow sorting and yield the correct sum?
