    Unpicking a conversion chart

    Hello,

i`m hoping someone can help - this is proving very tricky for me.

I have a conversion chart (or table) - not sure on correct terminology. It shows age as row headers and years service as column headers with data in the rows and columns. In order to look up a specific number you find your age in the row header and years service in the column headers and the follow the row and column until you find the number. For example if your age was 23 and your years service was 6 then the number you lookup is 5 (see image below)

I`m looking for a way to unpick this so that the row header and column header are combinded and the matched number next to it (sorry - this is very confusing!) See below:

Any help would be much appreciated. I`ve attached a workbook with example table and expected results.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

Not to steal WBD's thunder, but you need to expand your ranges.
In your sample, columns C to L were referenced, now this needs changing to C to V.
Same for Rows, sample from 2 to 12, now it's from 2 to 47.

Try and figure it out from that, it's the best way to learn.
    If not, then post back.

Thanks once again - i managed to extend the range but was missing something in terms of creating the unique reference - this was stopping at 10. A huge help!
