Countif with OR condition

Hi,

I am looking to count number of rows based on information from 2 columns.

In the attached example I am looking to;

- look up Project Number in list
- Count number of IDs in list which have a status of "Active" or "Complete" in status column.

I have attempted the formula in cell M5, however it isn't counting. Current attempt is;

=COUNTIFS(G:G,G4,I:I,OR("Active","Complete"))

try it this way... =SUM(COUNTIFS(G:G,G4,I:I,{"Active","Complete"}))
