Command Buttons Loss Connection To Macros

I've lost the ability to click on a command button and have the associated macro run. This applies to all of the macro links in the workbook. There have been no changes to the code ... it just occurred a few days ago. The day before everything worked normally and the next morning everything was disconnected.

I tried repairing the workbook ( Open / Repair ). I have not tried to re-install Excel.

Anyone had a similar occurrence and how did you solve the issue ?

    Thanks.

I once had all my ActiveX controls turn into just plain shapes in one file. But there was no fix, I don't know what went wrong, and I had to do them all over again.

Are your buttons in worksheets? Are they ActiveX or Forms?

They are ActiveX. And yes, located in worksheets.

replace the ActiveX buttons with inserted 'Shapes' and re-assign the macros to the relative 'Shapes' - usually far more stable method than ActiveX on-sheet.
    Torachan,

Mission statement; Promote the use of Tables, Outlaw the use of 'merged cells' and 'RowSource'.
