Hello all, have something I know how to accomplish on the desktop version, but the "online/sharepoint" version I am having trouble with. I will try and describe the issue in detail, and hopefully it is not too convoluted in its description. Please ask me any questions to help further the discussion in solving this issue. Thank you all in advance for reading this and/or providing information!

I have an excel file on sharepoint I use to track all my current jobs. There is a cell for the latest notes of the job. That "notes" cell is linked to a separate scheduling excel file on sharepoint. This all works fine, no problem. The link that gets created is as follows [edited for privacy]: //xxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/ProjectSchedulingandManagement/Shared Documents/Scheduling/[Project Gantt.xlsx]22998'!$F$12

The specific question I have is the job number shown at the end of the link, the "22998'!$F$12". While this link works just fine, I would love to find a way to make the "22998" portion of the link be dynamically linked to the "job number cell" within my excel file. Since the Sheet Tabs in the excel file being referenced are name by the job number, it would be great within the main excel file to link to the cell housing the job number, therefor allowing me to drag the list and the links update based upon the referenced job number cell.

Testing this out on the desktop version I was able to use the INDIRECT function allowing me to create the reference to the sheet name be dynamically linked to another cell within my file.

Anyone know of a way to accomplish this on 2 separate files housed with sharepoint and accessed using the web version of excel?

Hopefully this all makes sense, lol. And thank you!
