Warning If Event For the Day Exceeds 5 for the Calendar

    Hello,

Events are entered on the 4 tables on the Activities sheet which will show on the Calendar. There is a limit of 5 events that can occupy the Calendar day cells.

Is there a way to warn the user when an event is entered if there are already 5 events for that day?

These could be a combination of the holidays, or birthdays or bills due whichever. Basically all included events for that day from the 4 tables.

In one example I have 5 events for January 1st and there is the holiday for New Year's Day. The event 5 does not show so it should have had some kind of warning when entering the 'event 5' saying "That day has exceeded the maximum events of 5 allowed."

    Thank you

    My, you are busy today.

You weren't specific about how you wanted this warning to appear. You said "when entering" so I put it on the Activities sheet in column G. It will appear on every activities for the overloaded date.

Thanks I was wondering if it would be better to go directly to the cells in columns AA thru AE?

I noticed that in cell AB267 the result has a 6 at the end which shows there are 6 events for that day.

Can you take a look please?

I found a way to count the number of similar dates for each day and added the column showing that number. Now I think when the number hits 6 or more the cell could turn red as a warning. I will try to do that.

    The formula for counting:

I counted the similar dates in the new column then formatted red fill when there are 6 to 12 similar dates for that day. I also made a rule to fill green when there are 1 to 5 similar dates for that day.

This way when entering the dates the user can see the number of occurrences.

    Thanks for the help.
