    Smile I want to record cell values in a list whenever they change and have the list drop one row

    So, my problem is, i am a newbie with excel but i need to make this work somehow but i didnt find any answers online.

    So i want to copy paste the new cell values of 3 cells into a different Sheet each time they are changed and when they are changed, i want the existing list to drop one row down to make room for the new additions.
    I kinda wanna make an archive of all changes.

    I want to make a database for a library and there will be a main excel spreadsheet, where Name of the person who rented the book, the date it was rented and the date it was brought back into the library will be documented next to the name of the book. and whenever these informations will be added for a new rental, i want the old data about the rental to be added to a list, which will expand downwards, with the latest rental on top. So the library can see which person rented the book and the time of the rental.

    Now i know, i could simple enter it by hand. But i want to know more about excel and i couldnt find a solution on my own.

    I tried making it work with a command button, which transfers the contents of those cells each time it is pressed but that didnt work out. Plus i dont understand anything about macros and i just copy pasted random code.


    It would be very nice of you if you could read this post and try to help me come to a conclusion and maybe learn something new.

    Excuse my bad english.

    Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

    Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.
