I can open the Power Query Editor, although I get an "Unexpected Error...Something went wrong, if problem continues, please restart Excel" dialog box.
Note that I have restarted Excel several times and also restarted the computer.
When I select 'Close' in the dialog box the Power Query Editor opens however there is no ribbon.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if so, how they resolved the issue.
Consider taking the time to add to the reputation of everybody that has taken the time to respond to your query.
No, but have you tried repairing Excel?

Unfortunately, I get a "We couldn't repair this app. Try again in a bit" message.
Do you have any idea of what would happen if I attempted to Reset instead?
May have disproved the statement: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results".
I kept selecting 'Repair' for MS Office and eventually the Power Query Editor ribbon reappeared.
