    Relative Conditional Formating

    Hi everybody,

I am setting up a roster using Excel. Is there a way to set up conditional formatting that if the same name appears on the same row it will highlight the name red. I can set it up for each individual cell but that seems like a tedious way of doing it, because it requires me to format each cell, relative to every other cell individually.

    Example:

    Name 1 Name 2 Name 3 Name 2

    Hi,

Just use in A1 (adjust as necessary) a CF like

    =COUNTIF($A$1:$D$1,A1)>1

Where A:xx covers all your columns, and apply the CF to the whole range of columns
