Editing a larger table from a different sheet in same workbook

Hi,

Before I go into what my issue is I think it's easier if I describe it.

Basically, I have a large table with different data, some of it text, some of it numeric and some of it dates. Each row has a unique serial number.

Because there are so many columns I've created a compact table on another sheet where I use vlookup to populate each cell that goes back into the larger table.

The issue I have, is that whenever I want to make any edits to this smaller table, I need to go back to the larger one, as when I click F2, it goes straight to the VLookUp Formula in that given cell.

So I was wondering whether there's a way, via formulas or VBA, where I can populate a table using a single unique reference from a larger table and make changes to the larger table by making edits in the smaller one?

Hi, apologies for not answering earlier. Please note all of the data is in the table is data I've created myself and does not belong to my company.

What you'll see is a main table, a pivot table used to extract "reference number", then sheets called "windows" which basically use vlookup to find data from the main table.

What I want to do is
1) to be able to edit the main table directly from the "window" sheets and
2) to be able to add a new line to the table using the New Line worksheet at the end.
