    Formula Needed for Salary Calculation

Hi! I am working on a staffing file that is meant to calculate salary to the day, while factoring in raises throughout the year, as well as term dates. The end goal is to see the variance between the salary that's currently entered in our system versus the true calculation. Additionally, the formula should recognize when the month has been actualized (currently using the beginning portion of the formula for this "=IF(Y$20<=$D$17,AM24"). File attached.

Thank you in advance for the help!

Re: Formula Needed for Salary Calculation

Hello maevemcdonald and Welcome to Excel Forum.
After a bit of looking I found =IF(Y$20<=$D$17,AM24... in cells Y24:AJ24
I take it that at least some of the values in those cells isn't what you want.
It may help us to understand the request if you would tell us the expected values for those cells.

Re: Formula Needed for Salary Calculation

For further context, columns Y:AK should represent salary by month factoring in start date and raises. Additionally, columns AM:AY represent actuals from our forecasting system (there is a dynamic formula used to pull this information but for the purpose of this post, I hardcoded everything). Depending on the number of actualized months (listed in D17), the values in Y:AK either reference the numbers listed in columns M:V or the actuals in AM:AY. Let me know if any additional information is needed!

Re: Formula Needed for Salary Calculation

Looking at the values in Y24:AJ24 I cannot see where there is an issue.
Please give us specific examples of values such as:
The current value in AB24 is 19,208 but should be ... or if the date in cell R24 were changed to 4/15/2022 then the value in AB24 should change to ...
Let us know if you have any questions.
