Help with A Drop Down Menu is Required Please. I need to use more than 257 characters

I wish to create a Drop Down Menu of 27 items. There are far more characters than the 257 allowed and everything I have seems very complicated referring to tables within tables, or VBA or is written in such a fashion that I cannot get my head round it.

The headings from Column D1 to AH1 will be the menu.

The reason I want to do this is because they are membership categories which people refer to by different names when they enter data.

EG Five Day gets called Mid-Week, Midweek, Business, Workday etc.

I want the drop down in cell C5 and pulled down to C52.

I'm happy to construct if there is such a guide anywhere.

I hope the title is specific enough because I can't put any more letters in the box.

I looked at your workbook and could not see where you had detailed the drop-downs you want. Nor could I see any cell containing more than 255 characters, so I think you need to explain in a bit more detail what you are trying to do and where.

Have you seen this tutorial?

I really don't understand all the fuss about characters.

If you use data valiation/list and the formula ='Sheet1'$D$1:$AH$1

I'll show you on a sheet in a couple of hours.
