Smile Index and Match Help to Collate & Summarise Survey Data

    Hi guys,

I have a bit of a strange one. I have obtained data from a survey from different teachers for different students in one class. Google Forms pushes the data out across multiple columns and rows similar to that below (obviously with more questions):

I was wondering if there was a way that I could extract the data for each one of the different sections according to the collated data and have it displayed in the sheet (please see attached file) for hopeful output as well (I have used Data Validation for a list of student names) and hoping it can check the name and give out the appropriate data.

I am aware that VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP only do horizontal or vertical, they don't look across a range of cells.

Also not sure if pulling the data from different sheets will cause an issue.

If anyone could assist, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.

Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. As you are new here, I have done it for you this time.)
